CHROMARES™ FORMS
DEFINITION
The name ChromaRes™Form, as I'm calling them, comes from combining the word Chroma, which means intensity of color, and Resin which is what finally covers and protects each piece, while at the same time really pops the intensity and apparent depth of the colors to maximum effect.
DESCRIPTION
Each of the forms is fabricated by hand. It takes 9 steps to get from drawing to final piece.
Each form takes about 3 weeks to complete, mostly due to the required drying time for the paint and resin.
OPTIONS AND ORIGINALIITY
Many of the forms can be scaled up in size. And I'm happy to take suggestions for new shapes and ideas.
Each finished piece is an original and unique due to the way the form is cut and painted. For example, if you were to order 6 maple leaves in red and bronze yellow, while each individual leaf will be cut using the same form pattern, because they are cut by hand they will be close, but not exact duplicates. And although the same paint batch would be used for all 6 leaves, due to the painting technique, each leaf will be distinct and unique.
DISPLAYING THE FORMS
The forms, specifically the smaller ones, can be set up, using brackets or small picture frame stands to set on a shelf, desk or mantle. Also for the smaller forms, simple velcro can be used to display directly on a wall. As you can see on a few of the photos, the forms can be mounted on finished backing, such as the hand cut birch boards shown, and then hung for display. Display cases such as shadow boxes are another good option for display.
The medium to larger size pieces such as the dolphin, which is approximately 25 inches long, can be set up with standard picture hanging brackets, hooks and wire, or even velcro.
COMING SOON
I should have a video up soon which will show the pieces displayed in various configurations.

Whether you enjoy and believe your personal astrology description, or maybe don't give it any credence at all, or even haven't ever given it a second thought...ya have to admit, the symbols are very cool !
So, after looking at a bunch of different versions of each symbol, I combined and moved around some details, sometimes very little, other times a bit more, and have come up with the collection you see here.
The colors I've chosen to display on these pieces were a result of looking at various websites that give descriptions of each sign along with their corresponding colors. Most sites were in agreement as to the colors.
But you can request any color combination you like!
